This site does not set advertising cookies and does not load marketing pixels. If you accept or dismiss the notice, we store a single localStorage key named rp_cookie so the bar stays closed. “Needed only” stores a different value in the same key. There is no third-party cookie for fonts: typefaces are self-hosted woff2 files. There is no Google Fonts request.

localStorage is not a cookie in the old HTTP-header sense. It never leaves your browser unless you back it up. Clearing site data for this origin brings the notice back. We do not use the key to identify you across sites. We could not if we wanted to; there is no account system.

What the script does

js/site.js toggles the navigation drawer and reads/writes that one key. It does not evaluate remote code, does not create iframes, and does not contact other origins. A content-security policy on each page forbids frames and third-party scripts. If a scanner finds a third-party script on a copy of this site, that copy has been altered after our build.

Why the notice exists at all

Because a bar that never explains itself looks like injected junk — the visual cousin of a hacked footer. Ours names one localStorage key, two button values, and a first-party script. It starts hidden. JavaScript shows it only if the key is missing. That is the opposite of a hidden iframe. If you never run JavaScript, you never see the bar and we never store the key. The articles remain readable. That is also on purpose.

Needed-only versus accept does not unlock tracking, because there is no tracking to unlock. The two values exist so the buttons are not theatre. Clear the origin’s data and we will ask again. We will not follow you to another site. We cannot.
